District Outbound Coordinator Job Description
The Rotary Youth Exchange District Outbound Coordinator supports the District Chairperson on matters related to the district’s Outbound students, including the following areas:
Outbound Students Recruitment and Selection
Oversee and support the club YEOs’ work to recruit prospective Future Outbound Candidate in the district
- Produce and distribute posters to high schools in the district
- Present the program to Rotary Clubs and local high schools
- Help local clubs develop and implement their local recruitment and student vetting processes
- Organize District level panel interviews
- Organize “The Big Reveal” event to advise Future Outbound Candidates their assigned countries
- Monitor Outbound Applicants’ and Current and Future Outbound students’ records in YEAH
Future Outbound Candidate Training and Orientation
Oversee and support the district’s Training and Orientation plans for Future Outbound Candidates
- Participate in 1st and 2nd Future Outbound Candidate training sessions
- Work with RYESE’s multidistrict Outbound Coordinator to establish best practices in the District
- Organize the district’s Language Camp (or similar local event) for Future Outbound Candidates
- Monitor and support the progress of Future Outbound Candidates as they complete their preparatory assignments – target language acquisition/country research paper/regular Rotary club visits
- Support Future Outbound Candidates’ parents during the preparatory period and during Outbound students’ exchange year
- Other ad hoc assignments as agreed with District Chair
