It's wild that I'm already more than half way through my exchange! One of the big things I did this month was go skiing! I had an opportunity to go to a ski resort called Romme with the school. We got there around 10am and skied for the whole day before we went home. It was an awesome experience to ski with friends that were a bit more experienced than me. I fortunately was able to keep up with them on whatever they did but I did crash a few times. Recently I've gotten into watching movies more. I was able to go see Marty Supreme in the Theater with my host brother. Fortunately the movie was in English with Swedish subtitles. Honestly I think that watching movies with Swedish subtitles is a pretty good way to help me learn now. When you first start learning a language it's a bit difficult and you feel very lost but I've gotten to a point where I can understand so now it's quite enjoyable. I also did quite a big trip to Stockholm over sportlov (Sports Break). I first went up on saturday to go to the photography museum with one of the other exchange students. Later in the afternoon we hung out with some other students and had a movie night at one of their houses. The next day we had fika with all of the Stockholm students, met one of the new inbounds from Australia (The Australian exchange year is from Jan to Dec because of their school years different timing), and went ice skating on the lake in Stockholm. After that I went back to my town. The next day I took a train back to Stockholm with some school friends to go shopping at the mall of Scandinavia. After that I met up with some other students and slept over at their house. The next day I went Iceskating again and went around the city a bit with one of my other good exchange friends. That day also happened to be semla day so I bought a semla milkshake at max and had a semla that my host sister made at home. February has definitely been one of the more exciting months.
